Maps

Maps is the visualization tool for combining and visual inspection of spatial datasets. It provides functionality to visualize multiple spatial datasets as map layers in a single map view. A map is defined as a collection of layers. A layer is a visual portrayal of a spatial dataset and defines how points or features are rendered. GeolinQ supports the following layer types:

  • Layers based on feature datasets queried from GeolinQ with attached SLD styling.
  • Layers based on point datasets queried from GeolinQ with attached colorscale
  • Layers requested from an external WMS or WMTS
  • Sketch layers offering endusers to add point, lines, polygons and text

Maps are stored in a datasource. A datasource can contain more than one map.
