Tenants

GeolinQ supports a tenant structure in order to host multiple GeolinQ instances in a single GeolinQ installation. Each tenant has a separate database schema, separate datasources, separate serivices and separate task- and user management. As a result multiple organisations or workgroups share a single GeolinQ installation and share the available servercapacity. Hosting multiple tenant in a single installation may result in significant benefits in IT maintenance.

A GeolinQ installation always contains one root tenant where the child tenants are managed. Each tenant has an separate database schema where users, datasources and tasks are stored for the tenant. The root tenant and root schema are created during the GeolinQ installation process. Child tenants are created from the root tenant.
