User groups

Create user group

To create a user group, navigate to the User groups tab. The User groups tab shows a list of all GeolinQ user groups. Click Add user group. The dialog to create a new user group appears. Enter the user group name and description, select the user group class (type of user group) from the picklist. Depending on the user group class selected additional user group attributes may have to be entered. Save the user group.

Add permission to user group

After saving the new user group a dialog appears to add permissions to a user group. Click on Add permission. A new diaolog opens with a picklist to select the permission type. If "Functional permission" is selected, a new picklist appears to select the functional permission. If "Datasource permission" is selected, a new picklist appears to select the datasource. Also two check boxes appear. if both check boxes are unchecked the permission has only read permission on selected datasource. If "Edit class definition" check box is checked the permission allows creating and modifying class definitions. If check box "Edit dataset" is checked the permission allows importing datasets into the datasource. For exporting datasources and datasets no additional permissions are required.
